--------- Patchen, Effa (Marriage - 20 JUN 1921)
In Hannibal, N.Y., on Monday evening, June 20, 1921, at the home of the bride, a
very quiet wedding took place when Mrs. Effa Patchen was united in marriage to
Mr. George T. Carr Of Owen, Clark County, Wis., the ceremony being performed by
Rev. Willis A. Haven of the Hannibal Methodist Church.
For the past nine years Mrs. Patchen has been a teacher in the Hannibal schools
and will be greatly missed, not only from the school but from the social and
religious life of the community, having been an active worker in the Methodist
Church, of which she was a member, a member of Golden Sheath Grange and at the
present time Chaplain of the Eastern Stars.
Mr. Carr has returned to his home here, where Mrs. Carr will join him in the
near future, and we are sure she will be warmly welcomed in Owen, and what is
Hannibal's loss will be our gain.
