Carson, Marla Elsie (2 July 1963 – 15 February 2021)

Marla E. Carson, 57, of Loyal, left this beautiful earth to reside in heaven on Monday, February 15, 2021, where she is walking, running, happy, and enjoying the brightness of her Eternal Home.

Marla Elise Simons was born on July 2, 1963 in Clinton, IA, the daughter of Gerald E. and Mary E. (Kinney) Simons. She was raised and received her education in Clinton County, IA, graduating in 1981 from Calamus High School, in Calamus, IA. While growing up in Clinton, Marla was a participant in the Iowa Miss Teen USA Beauty Pageant. After high school, she attended Clinton County Community College for a short time before moving to Michigan. She moved to Wisconsin to be near her mother and family and has resided here until her death. Marla suffered with Multiple Sclerosis for 32 years, with the grace of a princess. She will be deeply missed by her family.

She had many interests, but especially loved art, drawing, collecting Indian dolls, and old Western movies.

Marla will be dearly missed by her daughter: Manda May of Sanford, NC, and her grandchildren: Stryker and Reagan, whom she loved very much. Her mother: Mary Martin of Loyal; 5 siblings: Gerald (Karen) Simons of Greenwood, William (Joan) Simons of Goldsboro, NC, Rhonda (Gary) Huskelhus of Loyal, Julie (Jeff) Behncke of Scottsdale, AZ, Jacqueline (Shawn) Sawvell of Lost Nation, IA; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Awaiting her in heaven is her father, Gerald E. Simons, many relatives and friends.

A private Mass of Christian Burial for Marla's family was held at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Loyal. Burial followed in St. Joachim Catholic Cemetery in Pittsville. Pallbearers were Brandon Allen, Aaron Allen, Lisa Leachman, Jeff Behncke and Gary Huskelhus.
