--------- Van Gorder, Sylvia (Marriage - 26 SEP 1928)
The Methodist Episcopal Parsonage at Withee, Clark County, Wis., was the scene
of a double wedding, which took place there Wednesday afternoon at two-thirty
o'clock, when the Rev. W. F. Taylor performed the ring ceremony unity two young
couples in the holy bonds of matrimony.
Miss Elizabeth Blazer, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Blazer of Redville, and
Mr. Levi Dickinson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Dickinson of Withee, and Miss
Sylvia Van Gorder, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Van Gorder of Withee, and Mr.
Otto Calbaum, son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Calbaum of Genoa, Nevada, were
contracting parties, and acted as their own witnesses.
Following the ceremony the young couple went to the homes of the bride's
parents, where they were greeted by their friends. In the evening a free wedding
dance was given at the Community Pavilion, at which a large number attended.
The young people are well and favorably known to our readers in and near Withee,
and they have the best wishes of their friends for a happy wedded life. Both
couples will make their home in that village.
