--------- Van Natta, Margaret (Marriage - 1 AUG 1929)
County Superintendent of Schools, Margaret Van Natta, and Mr. George H. Walters,
will be married, Thursday, Aug. 1, 1929, at Stillwater, Minn. The ceremony will
take place at the home of the bride's brother, L. W. Holmes of Stillwater.
The bride is too well known to the people of Clark County, Wis. and to the
readers of the Press generally to need any further introduction. She has given
this county splendid service as an official for nearly five years, and is again
entering upon a four year term of office. Her work has counted for the
improvement of the schools and the development of efficiency in the teaching
force of the county, and the advancement of all that is good in school and
community life, and she is a lady of rare social charms.
Mr. Walters is the son of Mr. and Mrs. August Walters of Neillsville, Clark
County. After completing high school, he graduated from the Wood County
Agricultural School and Wood County Normal School, and taught for five years in
that county.
For some time past he has been field man for the Osseo Condensary. He is a man
of fine attainments and upright character and efficient in all the work he
undertakes.
Mr. and Mrs. Walters will take an auto trip into Canada and visit relatives in
Minnesota a few days before returning.
