--------- Orava, Wilma (Marriage - 7 AUG 1929)
A pretty home wedding occurred on Wednesday, Aug. 7, 1929, at the home of Mr.
and Mrs. Gus Silampa, two miles south and one-half mile east of Owen, Clark
County, Wis., when Harry S. Silampa of the town of Green Grove and Miss Wilma
Orava of Detroit, Mich., were united in marriage, the Rev. W. P. Powell of the
First Congregational Church of Owen, officiating.
A sister of the groom, Miss Irene L. Silampa, was bridesmaid, and Mr. A. Wepling,
acted as groomsman. After the ceremony a large company of relatives and friends
sat down to a table arranged under the trees where a bountiful wedding dinner
was served.
The bridal party left the following day for Detroit, Mich., where they will make
their future home, and with them goes the best wishes of a host of friends for a
long and happy wedded life.
