--------- Klabon, Lillian (Marriage - 28 SEP 1929)
The marriage of Miss Lillian Klabon of Withee, Clark County, Wis. and Mr. George
Amend of Chicago, occurred Saturday afternoon at four o'clock at St. John's
Lutheran Church at Withee, with the Rev. O. Hoffman officiating.
The contracting couple was attended by Miss Anna Klabon, sister of the bride, as
bridesmaid, and the groom was attended by Stanley Hoffman of Chicago. Miss Olga
Klabon acted as maid of honor, carrying a corsage bouquet of pink roses, and was
dressed in pink silk trimmed with gold lace. The bridesmaid dress was of green
silk, trimmed with silk lace, and she carried a corsage of yellow roses. The
bride's dress was of white satin, trimmed with lace, and carried a corsage
bouquet of roses and lilies of the valley, wearing a long lace veil fixed in
head form. The groom and best man were attired in the conventional black.
After the wedding the bridal party went to the home of the bride's parents,
where a bounteous wedding dinner was served at 6:30 and about one hundred guests
were present. The home was tastefully decorated in pink and white, combine with
a setting of autumn leaves.
Mr. and Mrs. Amend left Wednesday for Chicago, where they will make their future
home, and they have the best wishes of their many friends for a happy wedded
life.
