--------- Drace, Catherine (Marriage - 1 OCT 1929)
A quiet church wedding was solemnized at 9 o'clock on Tuesday morning at St.
Luke's Catholic Church at St. Paul, when Mr. Adolph Mauel of this city (Owen,
Clark County, Wis.), and Miss Catherine Drace of Stanley, were united in
marriage by Msgr. J. C. Byrnes. The young couple were attended by Mr. and Mrs.
A. M. Jankowski, friends of the contracting couple.
Following the ceremony the bridal party went to the St. Paul Hotel, where a
bounteous wedding breakfast was had, and the young couple then left for a two
week motor trip through Minnesota and Wisconsin.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Drace of Stanley, and is a
graduate of the Eau Claire Teachers Training School, and for the past three
years has taught in the city of Bloomer.
The groom is an industrious young man, and is the son of Mr. and Mrs. J. W.
Mauel of Campbellsport. He is a graduate of the Dairy School at Madison of the
class of 1920, and for the past nine years has been in the employ of his
brother, Henry Mauel, at the ice cream factory in this city.
They will be at home here after their return from their wedding trip.
