A quiet wedding was solemnized Tuesday evening at the office of Justice of the
Peace, R. C. Graham, when Mr. Charles Newcomb of What Cheer, Ia., and Miss Ellen
Mae Stoker of Owen, Clark County, Wis., were united in marriage. They were
attended by Miss Jean Phillips and Mr. Arno Baake.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ray Stoker of this city, and is a
graduate of the Owen High School. She is a young lady of fine personality, and
has many friends here who will wish for her success and happiness in her married
life.
Mr. and Mrs. Newcomb left Thursday morning for What Cheer, Iowa, and they will
make their future home, Mr. Newcomb having rented a farm at that place.
