A pretty church wedding was solemnized Wednesday morning at 9:30 o'clock at
Sacred Heart Catholic Church at Withee, when Mr. Paul Strohkirch and Miss Julia
Rodewitz, both of the town of Hixon, Clark County, Wis., were united in
marriage. The Rev. Fr. Daniels of Greenwood, officiating.
The young couple was attended by Walter Strohkirch, brother of the groom, and
Miss Marie Rodewitz, a sister of the bride. The bride was dressed in a white
satin dress, with a large veil with cap effect, the groom wearing the
conventional black.
Following the wedding service the bridal party went to the home of the bride's
parents, where a wedding breakfast was served. In the evening at the home of her
parents, a reception was held, at which many of their friends attended.
For the present the young people will make their home with her parents, after
which they will take up their residence in Owen, where Mr. Strohkirch is
