Wood, Wallace (3 August 1898 - 16 March 1983)

WITHEE -- Services will be Saturday at Maurina Funeral Home, Owen, for Wallace Wood, 84, of Route 1, Withee, who died Wednesday morning at Clark County Health Care Center, Owen.

The Rev. Peter Thomsen of Nazareth Lutheran Church will officiate and burial will be in Riverside Cemetery.

Mr. Wood, son of Mr. and Mrs. William (Bessie Hartnel) Wood, was born August 3, 1898 at Salem. In 1903 he came to the town of Hixon with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. William (Bessie) Hartnell.

He and Anna Marie Madsen were married April 7, 1932. She died June 29, 1972.

Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Gilbert (Janet) Cardinal, Withee; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Besides his wife, he was predeceased by a son, William, on June 10, 1972, by his parents, one brother and one sister.
