Zahn, Virgean Catherine (26 November 1930 - 22 February 2021)
With her heart full of love, Virgean Catherine Zahn “Tiny”, 90, of Spencer, made
her journey to heaven on Monday, February 22, 2021.
Virgean (nee Hebert) was born November 26, 1930 to Lloyd and Julia Hebert. She
was one of 9 siblings.
On December 27, 1952 she was united in marriage to Gordon Zahn. Virgean’s life
work included bookkeeper at Picus IGA, retail at Kickapoo gas station, and
Spencer School District as a librarian assistant.
Virgean will be fondly remembered for her love of the Brewers and Badgers, game
shows, lottery tickets, ‘the girls at Spencer Kwik Trip’ and reading.
Virgean was reunited with her family in heaven including her parents, her
husband, and all of her sib-lings.
She is loved and missed by her children, Priscilla (Steven) Peterson, Jim
(Teresa) Zahn, Juleen (Harold) Vogel, Jeff (Mary) Zahn, Jerry (Laura) Zahn, John
(Cindy) Zahn, Jenny (Doug) Leonhardt. Her memory will live on through many
grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren who she loved
very much.
Per her request, no funeral services will be held; however, a private committal
service for immediate family will be on Saturday, February 27, 2021 at West
Spencer Cemetery in the Town of Sherman, Clark County for graveside services.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the Palliative Care Team
on 4 North at Marshfield Medical Center for their compassionate care.
