O.K. Dahlberg started the first creamery in Curtiss on the corner of Front and Poplar Street, east of the present bank building.

In 1899, Emil Laabs started a cheese factory. It was partially destroyed by the cyclone of 1905. That same year it was rebuilt by Fred and Emil Laabs on the north O.K. Dahlberg started the first creamery in Curtiss on the corner of Front and Poplar Street, east of the present bank building.
