Cook, William Samuel (30 November 1936 – 21 February 2021)
William “Bill” S. Cook, 84, of Granton, passed away on Sunday, February 21, 2021
at House of the Dove in Marshfield.
Bill was born Nov. 30, 1936, at home in the Town of Hewitt to Leslie and Ethel (Parriott)
Cook. He attended country school in the area and graduated from Neillsville High
School in 1955. Bill married Carol Erickson in July 1956. They farmed, and he
drove milk truck for South Grant Cheese Factory. He later worked as an
electrician for Total and McMillian Electric of Marshfield.
The family always enjoyed horses and helped start the Saddle Tramps Club. In his
later years, he helped his grandson on the farm with cattle and tractors.
Bill is survived by his wife, Carol; son, Kurt Cook (Jeri) Omaha, NE; daughter
Shelly Cook on the farm in Granton; seven grandchildren; and five
great-grandchildren. He is also survived by sisters Ruth Stephens of Georgia and
Dorothy Henchen of Neillsville and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded by his daughter, Lory Vandeberg, and sister Lillian Gallagher of
Silver Springs, MD.
Bills wishes were for no services to be held.
