Knight, Anna (9 May 1908 - 25 March 1983)

ABBOTSFORD -- A 74-year-old Abbotsford woman died of injuries Friday after she was hit by a pick-up truck while crossing Highway 13 in the town of Holton.

Anna Knight, of 406 E. Maple St., Abbotsford, was transported to the Colby Clinic, where she died.

Services for the former Anna Martha Raasch will be at 2 P.M. Monday at Christ Lutheran Church, the Rev. Joseph Giovenco officiating, Entombment will be at Wisconsin Memorial Park, Milwaukee. Visitation will be at Maurine Funeral Home, Abbotsford.

Mrs. Knight was born May 9, 1908 at Stetsonville to Mr. and Mrs. Henry (Theresa) Raasch and attended Stetsonville area schools. She and Chester E. Knight were married May 28, 1832 in Milwaukee.

They lived in Curtis, Abbotsford and Stetsonville before locating in the City of Abbotsford in 1942, where her husband, who died September 10, 1976, operated Thomson Oil Co. station for many years.

A member of Christ Lutheran Church and its Ladies Aid Society, Mrs. Knight has been visiting shut-ins and played taped sermons from Christ Lutheran Church for them for some time.

Survivors are two sons, Gordon of Colby and Douglas of Milton, Florida; a daughter, Mrs. Corrine Roy, Orlando, Florida; three sisters, Mrs. Sophie Rinka and Mrs. Alfred (Edna) Hunsiker, both of West Allis, and Mrs. Erick (Clara) Mueckler, Milwaukee; and five grandchildren.

Besides he husband, she was predeceased by her parents and a grandchild.

Memorials may be given to Christ Lutheran Sunday School or Bethesda Lutheran Home for Retarded Children at Watertown.
