Wenzel, Lillian E. (26 March 1909 - 29 March 1983)

SPENCER -- Mrs. Robert (Lillian E.) Wenzel, 74, of 713 LaSalle St., Spencer was dead on arrival Tuesday at St. Joseph's Hospital, Marshfield.

Services will be Saturday at the Rux Funeral Home, Spencer. The Rev. Charles Strong will officiate. Organist will be Mrs. Linda Roeder and soloist, Mrs. Carol Kasper. Burial will be in West Spencer Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be John Jr., Edward and Melvin Gotz, Ronald Wenzel, Richard Quirt and Robert Yunk.

Visitation will be at the Rux Funeral Home, Spencer.

The former Lillian E. Gotz was born March 26, 1909 in Auburndale, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wenzel (Marie Schroeder) Gotz. She was married to Robert Wenzel June 18, 1928 in Two Rivers. After their marriage they lived in Racine for two years and then moved to Marshfield. In 1949 they moved to Spencer and she had lived there since. Her husband died June 16, 1971.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Donald (Elizabeth) Griepentrog of Spencer and Mrs. Ronald (Karen) Kupfer of Montevideo, Minnesota; four sons, Gordon of Sheboygan, Fredrick of Prentice, Charles of Spencer and Robert of Route 2, Spencer; 12 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; eight sisters, Anna Bilz of Park Falls, Ella Weichelt, Elsie Johnson, Ida Hodges and Freda Wenzel, all of Marshfield, Emma Haugner and Alma Francone, both of Portland, Oregon; two brothers, Otto Gotz of Park Falls and John Gotz of Nekoosa.

She was also predeceased by a son, a grandchild and four brothers.
