One of the very best farms in this famous clover belt of Clark County,
Wisconsin, and it must be sold by May 20 1912. Farm consists of 220 acres; 135
acres in high state of cultivation; eight-five acres pasture and timberland. The
farm is located two and one-half miles from Curtiss, Wisconsin, and four and
one-half miles from Owen, Wisconsin. The soil is of the very best, being a rich
loam with clay subsoil. It is well drained by a creek in the pasture.
Buildings on the farm include: thirteen room house, basement barn 44 x 80, silo
16 x 36, hog barn 16 x 24, chicken house 16 x 30, wind mill. The silo is
attached to basement barn and has twelve foot foundation. All buildings are in
first class order and well painted.
The following personal property goes with the farm: twenty five good grad
Holstein Milch cows, fifteen good grad Holstein young stock, one full blood
Holstein bull, eleven head hogs, five good heavy horses, two wagons, three
buggies, cutter, light and heavy bobs, two plows, three drags, one disc harrow,
one seeder, one corn binder, one corn planter, one grain binder, one hay loader,
one hay tedder, one rake, one mower, one side deliver rake, one sulky
cultivator, two sing cultivators, potato digger, silo filler, cream separator,
and numerous other things.
This farm will produce, dollar for dollar, as much per acre as the very best
farm in Illinois. This can be proven. The corn silage on this farm last year
yielded twenty one and three fourths tons per acre. Other crops give equally
good yields. A “A No. 1” dairy farm, as well as for diversified farming. It must
be seen to be appreciated.
