Betty Lou Reckner, age 93, of Marshfield entered eternal life into the waiting arms of her Lord Jesus Christ on Sunday, March 14, 2021. She lived a long, full, and eventful life and is now with family, friends and loved ones who passed before her.

The couple owned and operated a dairy farm at Route 1, Spencer for six years and then moved to Marshfield. They enjoyed 34 years of marriage together until Gene’s death on April 10, 1982.

Betty worked various places during her life besides being a housewife/mother. She worked at the Marshfield Canning Company, Figi’s, Weyerhaeuser, various cleaning jobs, and a crossing guard.

She enjoyed gardening and her flowers. She could grow things others could not. She had a green thumb. Betty also liked to travel, taking several trips with her daughter Ione. They have been to Hong Kong, Australia, New Zealand, and most of the U.S.

She is survived by her children, Ione Reckner, Dennis (Dawn) Reckner, David (Alice) Reckner, Sharon (Randy) Bryant, Karen (Larry) Doering, Larry (Theresa) Reckner, and Monica (Jim) Poppy, daughter-in-law, Kathy Reckner, a sister Lois (Ed) Mauer, 17 grandchildren, one step grandchild, 13 great-grandchildren, and one step great-grandchild.
