Commencement week at Yankton College (Yankton, S.D.) has been a pleasant and
successful one in every way. Dr. E. Dana Durand, recently director of the census
at Washington, now professor at the University of Minnesota, delivered the
commencement address to the graduating class. He dealt with the spirit of
cooperation as found in the different walks of life. It was a scholarly and
valuable talk to the seniors upon a subject of great interest and importance.
The following members of the class of 1914 received the degree of Bachelor of
Arts: Marjorie Minerva Bates, Herman Lewis, Grace Charlotte Lewis, Lake Preston;
Ralph Everett Billings, Geddes; Thekla Louise Burleson, Cedar Rapids, Iowa;
