Connie L Clark, 83, of Thorp, passed away on Thursday, March 18, 2021 at Turner Integrity Care in Thorp.

Connie Lou Englebretson was born on February 2, 1938 in Cornell, the daughter of Earl and Lucille (Creaser) Englebretson. She was raised in the Donald area and graduated from Gilman High School in 1956. After graduating from high school, Connie attended the Taylor County Teacher's College in Medford earning her teaching certificate. In 1958, she was united in marriage to Kenneth Clark. They later divorced. Connie taught school in the Waukesha area for ten years. Upon returning to central Wisconsin, Connie taught at Stanley-Boyd Schools for a few years. In 1980, she began teaching 3rd grade at the Thorp Catholic School, in Thorp, until her retirement in 2000. She loved her students and took great care in shaping their lives.

During retirement, Connie enjoyed reading, having a piece of pie and ice cream, and camping with Fred and Penny. In her younger days, she also enjoyed snowmobiling. But most of all, she loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother: Ricky Englebretson; and her sister-in-law: Peggy Englebretson.

Graveside funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, March 22, 2021 at the Donald Cemetery, rural Taylor County, with Pastor Kenneth Schmidt officiating.
