Owen, Wisconsin, November 7, 1932 – A mass of 800 farmers stopped a foreclosure
sale Saturday, November 5 on the farm of John Nobel at Chili, Wisconsin.
Two days later a mass of 1500 stopped a foreclosure sale on the farm of Fred
Jacobi, Granton.
A meeting was called by a representative of the United Farmers League November 2
at the Elmwood School. At this meeting three action committees were formed, from
the townships of Green Grove, Beaver and Longwood.
