Jacqueline Kay Bieker became the bride of Gregory Bertz on Saturday, January 3,
1976 at ten o’clock in the morning in the Sacred Heart Chapel at Colorado
Springs, Colorado.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Laverne F. Bieker of Colorado Springs,
Colorado, and the groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. David Bertz of Route 2,
Neillsville.
When given in marriage by her parents, the Rev. Father Jerome conducted the
wedding ceremony.
The bride chose for her wedding a full length gown of white satin and a
fingertip veil secured to a crown of daisy appliques. She carried a single white
rose surrounded by white carnations and stephanotis.
Miss Rita Mae Bieker was maid of honor and Miss Kathryn Sue Bieker, bridesmaid.
They wore velveteen gowns, the former in pink and the latter in harmonizing pink
floral. Their flowers were red roses.
Best Man was Scot Garmore, Des Plaines, Ill., stationed at Ft. Carson; groomsman
was Bill Oliver, Neillsville, also stationed at Ft. Carson, and ushering were
Tim Bieker and Joe Muelbauer.
The wedding reception as held at the bride’s parental home. For a wedding trip,
the couple will be going to Germany, where the bridegroom will be stationed for
a year.
For the past three years the new Mrs. Bertz, graduate of St. Mary’s High School,
has been employed at Penrose Hospital in Colorado. Her husband, who is serving
in the U.S. Army, is a Neillsville High School graduate.
