Goodbrand, Barbara Ann (Marriage - 20 August 1976)
A home in Pine View Terrace, Greenwood, awaited Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Carl Miller
upon their return from a wedding trip to Wisconsin Dells. Mrs. Miller is the
former Miss Barbara Ann Goodbrand, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. David W. Goodbrand
of Rt. 1 Greenwood. He husband is the son of Elmer Miller, Rt. 3 Greenwood.
The Millers were married August 20 in a 7 p.m. ceremony performed at Our
Savior’s Lutheran Church, Greenwood, by the Rev. D.E. Wenger. A reception
followed at the Greenwood American Legion Hall.
Presented in marriage by her brother, Robert Goodbrand, the bride appeared in an
empire style gown of organza and Chantilly lace fashioned with a batteau
neckline, long sleeves and a detachable train. Her head was covered by a
cathedral length, lace-edged mantilla. Red roses, daisies and baby’s breath
formed her bouquet.
Barbara A. Schmidt, Loyal, was the honor attendant and Marilyn Erickson and Mrs.
Shirley Nelson, also of Loyal, were the bridesmaids. Their gown of white
polyester with red roses were complimented by bouquets of roses and baby’s
breath.
The groom was attended by Kenneth Dyre, Jr., Greenwood, as bestman and by Randy
Hendrickson, Greenwood, and John Gardner, Withee, as groomsmen. Robert Goodbrand
and Mike Vetterkind served as ushers.
A 1974 graduate of Loyal High School, the new Mrs. Miller is employed at a
cheese factory in Greenwood. The groom graduated from Greenwood High School in
1970 and is employed by an area sand and gravel firm.
