Carl, Bonnie J. (Marriage – 3 October 1976)
Bonnie J. Carl, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Carl of Neillsville, became the
bride of Bernard D. Nikolai of Neillsville at ceremonies performed Saturday,
October 3, in St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Neillsville by the Rev. Joseph
Henseler.
The bride, who was given in marriage by her father, wore an empire style gown of
Dacron polyester organza, trimmed with pink satin ribbons and pink floral
appliques on white Cluny lace. The skirt ended in a chapel train. Her matching
lace-edged veil fell from a Cluny lace Camelot.
She was attended by Kathy Bedell, a friend, who served as maid-of-honor.
The groom, who is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Bernard B. Nikolai of Milwaukee, was
attended by Donald Steinmitz of Neillsville, as bestman. Robert Barclay and
Randy Carl, the later a brother of the bride, were ushers.
A reception was held following the ceremony at a local supper club.
The new Mrs. Nikolai was graduated from Neillsville High School in 1973 and has
been a nurse’s aide at Memorial Hospital in Neillsville. The groom is a graduate
of Wausau Senior High School and is employed at Nelson Muffler Corporation in
Neillsville.
