The Colonial House of Colby is hosting an open house Sunday to honor the 100th
birthday of Henry Binning, a resident there.
The public is invited to the celebration.
He was born April 25, 1883 in Iowa and moved to Fond du Lac County with his
parents, As a young man he moved to Unity where he worked in the lumber
business, as a farmer and as a teamster for several employers.
He purchased a farm in the Town of Unity in 1910 and in June 1910 he married
Borghild Nelson. She is deceased.He is a member of Trinity Lutheran Church,
Unity.
He has four sons, Lester of Marshfield, Russel of Pecatonica, Illinois, Robert
of Milwaukee and Ray of Unity.
He will be honored by his family with a dinner party Sunday.
