Humboldt, Joyce Elaine (16 October 1976)
Joyce Elaine Humboldt and Ronald Carl Hennig exchanged marriage vows Saturday,
October 16, in a 1 p.m. ceremony performed at the Lake Street United Methodist
Church in Eau Claire by the Rev. Thomas Jarrell. A reception followed in the
church basement. In the evening, a gathering at the home of the groom’s mother
on Lake Wissota honored the couple.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Boyer, Rt. 3 Neillsville. Mrs.
Kenneth Hennig, Eau Claire, is the groom’s mother.
A bouquet of gardenias, stephanotis and ivy complimented the bride’s
self-created gown of off-white Qiana knit fashioned in a back-tied wrap style.
She wore stephanotis in her hair as she was presented in marriage by her
stepfather.
Mrs. Judith Spiegel of Stoughton, sister of the bride, was her matron-of-honor.
Bridesmaids included Miss Linda Koschak of Willard and Mrs. Debra Robarge of
Roseville, Mn. They were attired in light blue, cream and pale rust floral print
gowns and carried hand bouquets of harmonizing mums.
The groom was attended by his brother Steven Hennig of Eau Claire, as best man
and by Peter Almberg of Oshkosh and Dave Cramer of Eau Claire as groomsmen.
Serving as ushers were Leon Piper of Madison and Roger Belisle of Eau Claire,
both brothers-in-law of the groom, and Doug Fenner of Chippewa Falls.
Jeremy Spiegel, nephew of the bride, acted as ringbearer. Teri Jo Piper, niece
of the groom, was the flower girl.
Music was by Patrice Pakiz of Willard.
A 1972 graduate of Greenwood High School and a 1976 graduate of the University
of Wisconsin-Eau Claire with a bachelor of science degree in nursing, the new
Mrs. Hennig is employed as a staff nurse on the medical unit at Luther Hospital,
Eau Claire. Her husband graduated from Eau Claire Memorial High School in 1970
and is presently majoring in biology at the UW-Eau Claire. He is employed part
time at Luther Hospital.
The newlyweds are living on Rt. 3 Eau Claire. They plan a December wedding trip
to several western states.
