Chili-Scout Earns Eagle Award (1976)
The coveted Eagle Scout award was presented to Dan Riegel, a member of Chili Boy
Scout Troop No. 210 at a court of honor held Monday evening, October 18. Dan is
the son of Mr. and Mrs. Harland Riegel of Rt. 3 Marshfield. Ronald Happe, Chili,
is the troop’s scoutmaster.
The Eagle award was presented by Tim Rose, Boy Scouts of America Chippewa Valley
council district executive. Rose also showed a movie on Philmont.
Other scouts who advanced in rank at the court of honor were Dan Sook, Dean
Rollins, David Rollins and Greg Olson.
Most troop members received skill awards and merit badges. In addition to those
already named, the troop also includes Bill Happe, Jeff Bump, Mike Rollins, Jeff
Selk, Scott Krasselt, Joe Loos and Scott Mitchell.
Dan Sook acted as master of ceremonies for the program, which began with the
pledge of allegiance. Two skits were presented. Following the benediction, a
lunch was served.
