Clawson, Margaret (21 February 1909 – 31 October 1976)

Mrs. Howard (Margaret) Clawson, 67, of Rt. 3 Neillsville, was pronounced dead on arrival Sunday, October 31, at Memorial Hospital. Services were to be held Wednesday, November 3, at 1:30 p.m. from Immanuel Lutheran Church, Globe, with the Rev. Stuebs officiating. Interment was to be in the Neillsville City Cemetery. The Georgas-Gesche Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Margaret Clawson, the daughter of Leonard and Anna Flagg Schultz, was born February 21, 1909, in the Town of Weston, received her education in area schools, and farmed in the Town of Weston for many years. She was married to Howard H. Clawson on October 5, 1963, in the Town of Weston. Mrs. Clawson was employed as a nurses aide at Memorial Hospital for 15f years. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church and of the Neillsville VFW Auxiliary.

Survivors in addition to her husband, include five sisters, Mrs. Raymond (Lillie) Massie of Adams, Mrs. Wm. (Mable) Bertrang of Fairchild; Mrs. Vincent (Jannett) Farmaggio of Harwood, Il., and Mrs. Kenneth (Donna) Hotz of Elk Grove, Il.; and two brothers, Bernard Schultz of Elmhurst, Il., and Wm. Schultz of Neillsville.

Clawson, Margaret (21 February 1909 – 31 October 1976)

Funeral services were held November 3 from Immanuel Lutheran Church at Globe for Mrs. Howard (Margaret) Clawson 67, of Rt. 3 Neillsville, who died suddenly October 31. The Ralph Stuebs officiated, and burial followed in the Neillsville City Cemetery. The Georgas-Gesche Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers were Julius Hagedorn, Frederick Grap, Herman Dux, Frankie Mitte, Gordon Thoma and William Lueck.

“Rock of Ages,” “What a Friend” and “My Course is Run” were sung by the congregation. Mrs. Virginia Thoma was the organist.
