An evening candlelight ceremony united Miss Brenda Rohland and Lynn Spath on
Friday, January 30th, 1976, at Nazareth Lutheran Church in Withee. Pastor Lloyd
Yaggie performed the ceremony, and the organ music was rendered by Miss Louise
Hansen, who accompanied the soloist, Miss Kathy Boening, who sang “We Have Just
Begun” and Mel Rohland who sang “The Lord’s Prayer.”
The bride was attired in an ivory satin gown trimmed in lace with a train. Her
ivory veil was trimmed also in lace, and she carried a bouquet of gardenias.
Attending the bride as maid of honor was Miss Julie Oehler, Withee, and
bridesmaid was Kathy Boening, Withee. Their gowns were blue crepe, trimmed with
lace and had matching jackets. They carried a single long stemmed red rose.
The miniature bride was Carrie Gonnering of Marshfield, who was dressed
identical to the bride. The miniature groom was Darrin Luedke.
Attending the groom as best man was Michael Marty, and groomsman was Tom
Fritsche of Dorchester. The groom and attendants were seen in smoky brown
leisure suits.
Following the wedding, a dinner and reception were held at the Meadowview
Country Club in Owen.
Following a wedding trip, which took them to Florida, the newlyweds are making
their home on route 1, Stetsonville.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Emil Rohland, Withee, a 1975 graduate
of Owen-Withee High School, and employed at I.T.T. Thorp.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Warren Spath of Stetsonville, and attended
the Medford High School, graduating in 1973. He is a self-employed farmer at
Stetsonville.
