Madler Dolores Mae (22 April 1931 – 8 April 2021)
Dolores Mae (Peterson) Madler, 89, of Marshfield/Howards Grove, died peacefully
on April 8, 2021 at Harvest Home Assisted Living in Howards Grove.
Dolores was born April 22, 1931, in the town of Chili, Clark County, to Peter
Peterson and Adeline (Neinas) Peterson. She graduated from Marshfield Senior
High School in 1949. On August 18, 1950, Dolores and Stanley J. Madler were
married at the First Presbyterian Church parsonage in Marshfield. Dolores and
Stan were long-time members of the First Presbyterian Church.
Over the years Dolores worked as a secretary in Stevens Point and Marshfield and
then worked at the Marshfield Clinic for 25 years. She was very proud to work in
the Tumor Registry Department and Clinic Foundation during that time.
She is survived by daughters, Marilyn Sue (Bill) Snyder of Pewaukee, and Melanie
(Tim) Becker of Howards Grove, and son, Michael (Audrey) Madler of Rancho Santa
Margarita, CA; grandchildren, Steven (Emily) Snyder of Brooklyn, NY, Jeffrey
Snyder (Megan Hatch) of Cleveland Heights, OH, Andrew (Stephanie) Madler of
Huntington Beach, CA; Katherine (Greg) Lanza of Austin, TX, Michelle Nguyen of
Costa Mesa, CA, Danielle Becker (Dennis Carawan) of Sheboygan, and Brandon
Becker of Howards Grove; great grandchildren, Adelaide and Bennett Snyder of
Brooklyn, New York; and Jordan Kurtz, Vayda Carawan, Brody Carawan, and Matthew
Becker of Sheboygan, several nieces and nephews and life-long friends, Jim and
Jan Schreiner of Marshfield.
Her husband Stanley, parents, brothers, Delmore, Lawrence, and Garry, sisters
Lola (James) O’Brien, Evelyn (Merlin) Muir and son-in-law, Bill Snyder, all
preceded her in death.
In lieu of flowers, it was Dolores’ wish that memorial gifts in her name be
given to the House of the Dove Hospice Home, 1000 W. 11th Street, Marshfield, WI
54449.
Hansen-Schilling Funeral Home in Marshfield, WI will handle burial details.
Interment of ashes will be private at Hillside Cemetery in Marshfield.
