A transaction that has been pending for several weeks finally materialized
Monday of last week when Mr. and Mrs. Robert Bredlau met with General Motors
officials in the state’s zone office at Milwaukee, where dealership franchises
for both Chevrolet and Pontiac sales were assigned to him.
Mr. Bredlau has bought out the interest formerly held by his partner, Bernard,
Auberg, in Midway Chevrolet-Pontiac.
Associated with him now as a Junior Partner and Service Manager is Tom Much,
Owen, who has been with the firm for some time.
Bob Bredlau has been in Owen for 17 years, coming here from Loyal when Bernard
Auberg first acquired the business February 1, 1959, when he bought out Paul
Stasek Sr. He served as service manager, and in 1960 the agency acquired Pontiac
sales along with their Chevrolet franchise. In 1968 the business was sold to Sy
Bliven, for whom Bredlau continued to work. In 1972 Bob and Bernard bought out
Bliven on a 50-50 basis and continued to operate in that manner until Bob bought
out Bernard’s interest.
Bernard Auberg will continue to be associated with the firm as a salesman.
