Denk, Mr. and Mrs. Gerold (40th – 14 November 1976)

The 40th wedding anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Denk of Greenwood was celebrated at the home of their son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Brum, at the North Mound Tavern. The party, hosted by their children, was held Saturday evening, with approximately 175 people in attendance.

Gerald Denk and Anna Lindner were married in Greenwood November 14, 1936 and farmed here until they retired from farming in 1974 and moved to the city of Greenwood.

All of their children were present except their son, Romaine, and family of Franklin.

Children present were Mr. and Mrs. Tom (Caroline) Annen and family of Crystal Lake, Il; Mr. and Mrs. Eldon (Corinne) Liebzeit and family of Green Bay; Mr. and Mrs. Dennis (Millie) Humke and family of Marshfield; Tom Barr and family of Oshkosh; Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Denk, Jr., of Prospect, Il.; Mr. and Mrs. Robert (Janice) Brum and family of Greenwood; and Mrs. Alice Funte at home.

They have 23 grandchildren.

The honored couple received many gifts and congratulatory messages. The wedding cane was decorated by Mrs. Dale Horn.
