Winners-Coloring Contest (Silver Dollars - 1976)
Five area youngsters will be at least a silver dollar richer this week as they
earned top place rankings in the annual Thanksgiving coloring contest,
co-sponsored by the Neillsville Area recreation department and the Clark County
Press.
According to the judges, who viewed nearly 100 entries, the winners were
reported as follows:
In the first place and the winner of five silver dollars is Kathy Ross, nine
years old, of the city of Neillsville.
In second place and the winner of four silver dollars is Craig Boyer, 8 years
old, of Rt. 3 Neillsville.
In third place and the winner of three silver dollars is Joey Kranz, four years
old of Rt. 3 Neillsville.
In fourth place and the winner of two silver dollars is Michael Strangfeld, 11
years old and of Rt. 3 Neillsville.
In fifth place and the winner of one silver dollar is Carl Mastalski, seven
years old of Rt. 2 Neillsville.
(Winners may pick up their silver coins at The Clark County Press.)
All of the entries will be displayed at Santa’s Workshop in downtown
Neillsville, according to the department and the newspaper.
