Neillsville Foundry (Award - 1976)
Special recognition was given Tuesday in Minneapolis, Mn., to the Neillsville
Foundry, Inc., by the Onen Corporation, a large manufacturer of armatures and a
customer of the Neillsville metal casting firm.
There to receive a plaque were Al Payleitner, brother of Val Payleitner,
president of Neillsville Foundry, Inc.; Bill Fleming of Milwaukee, head of sales
for Barclay Industries, In., parent of the Neillsville Foundry; and Dr. Wally
Weil of Eau Claire, salesman.
The award was made for re-engineering and developing pattern for an armature
part which has cut the cost of manufacture of the part significantly. The awards
are presented quarterly by Onen Corporation, and, according to Greg Payleitner
of the Neillsville Foundry, Inc., “the competition is fierce.”
