Fredrickson, Nels E. (5 April 1894 - 18 April 1983)
STANLEY - Nels E. Fredrickson, 89, of Stanley, the father of Ward Fredrickson of
Marshfield, died unexpectedly Monday at his home. Death was caused by burns
suffered when he caught fire while burning rubbish.
Services will be Thursdays at Our Savior's Lutheran Church, Stanley. The Rev.
Ronald Gerl will officiate. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Stanley.
Visitation at Plombon Funeral Home, Stanley.
He was born April 5, 1894 in Brown County to Mr. and Mrs. Simon Fredrickson. He
and Rose Karsted were married August 1915 in Cecil. They farmed in the Town of
Beaver until 1926 when they moved to the Town of Colburn, where they operated
the Progressive Cheese Factory until 1956. In 1962 they moved to Stanley and
lived there since.
Surviving are his wife; one other son, Dale of Stanley; three daughters, Mrs.
Joseph (Mildred) Weisbrod of Deland, Florida, Mrs. Janet Shaw of Madison and
Mrs. Duwayne (Betty) Feiten of Eau Claire; 12 grandchildren; and seven
great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his parents, three sons, five brothers and three sisters.
