Greve, Harry (30 December 1891 - 21 April 1983)
SPENCER -- Harry Greve, 91, of Pecatonica, Illinois, a former Spencer resident,
died Thursday at Madina Nursing Home, Durand, Illinois after a lengthy illness.
Services will be Sunday at Trinity Lutheran Church, Unity. Burial will be in the
Church cemetery. Visitation will be at Rux Funeral Home, Spencer,
He was born December 30, 1891 in Calumet County, the son of Mr. and Mrs. William
Greve. He received his education in Wisconsin schools.
He and Leona Holthusen were married March 4, 1915 in Waukegan, Illinois. She
died June 30, 1978. He lived the past five years in Pecatonica, Illinois, moving
there from Spencer.
He was a retired farmer; a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Unity; and a
member of Modern Woodmen of America.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Russell (Mavis) Binning of Pecatonica and Mrs.
Charles (Lorraine) Smith of Racine; two sons, Milton of Milwaukee and Glen of
Fond du Lac; seven grandchildren; five great-grandsons; a sister, Mrs. Walter
Kuester of Millersville; and a brother, Edgar of New Holstein.
