Marty, Mildred L. (19 September 1908 – 18 December 1976)
A native of the Neillsville area, Mrs. Walter (Mildred L.) Marty, 68, died
December 18 at her home in Elkhorn. Funeral services were to be held Wednesday
at 2 p.m. from the Georgas-Gesche Funeral Home with the Rev. Ronald Nordin of
Calvary Lutheran Church officiating. Burial was to be in the Neillsville City
Cemetery.
Mrs. Marty, daughter of John and Sarah Wood Galbreath, was born September 19,
1908, in Neillsville and was educated in local schools. She moved from this area
many years ago. Her marriage to Walter Marty took place July 4, 1947, in Durand,
Il. Mrs. Marty was a member of Sugar Creek Lutheran Church.
Survivors, in addition to her husband, include five children, Dale Ebert of
Fairfield, Ca., Russel Ebert and Larry Ebert of Madison, Ronald Marty of Elkhorn
and Mrs. Vicki Bradford of Delevan: and 13 grandchildren and five
great-grandchildren. She is further survived by three sisters, Mrs. Art (Ada)
Opelt of Neillsville, Mrs. Roy (Vera) Barth of Nekoosa and Mrs. Edward
(Genevieve) Hohmann of Milwaukee; and four brothers, Byrl Galbreath of Rockford,
Il., Bob Galbreath of Sharon, and Earl Galbreath and Vernon Galbreath, both of
Wisconsin Rapids.
