Deegan, Donna Marie (26 February 1977)

St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Greenwood was the setting for the February 26 exchange of marriage vows between Donna Marie Degan and Johnathon R. Groff. The Rev. Robert Houston officiated at the 2 p.m. ceremony for the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Deegan, Rt. 3 Greenwood, and the son of Mrs. Victoria Groff of Greenwood.

The bride carried a bouquet of yellow roses and white carnations as she was presented in marriage by her father. Her white knit gown featured floral lace and seed pearl detailing on the bodice and trimming the A-line skirt which curved into a chapel train. A three-quarter length veil fell from her Camelot style headpiece of floral lace and pearls.

Miss Diane Clintsman, Greenwood, was the maid of honor and Lorraine Wolf, Loyal, the bridesmaid. They wore matching gowns of gold and brown floral print with beige handkerchief sleeves and ruffled hemline lace. White and yellow carnations formed their bouquets. Stacie Groff, Neillsville, was the flower girl.

The groom was attended by Bryan Hendrickson, Willard, as bestman and David Deegan, Greenwood, brother of the bride, as groomsman. Blaine Hendrickson and Darrell Deegan, both of Greenwood, served as ushers.

Special music was by Kathy and Tom Zepaltas.

A reception was held at the Greenwood American Legion Hall.

The newlyweds attended Greenwood High School. The groom, who served in the U.S. Marine Corps for three years, is employed as a police officer in Juneau. A wedding trip is planned for this summer.
