Blum, Mamie S. (25 July 1894 – 28 February 1977)
Mrs. Mamie S. Blum, died suddenly at her home on East Fifth St. in Neillsville
on Monday, February 28. Services were held Thursday at 1:30 p.m. from St. John’s
Evangelical Lutheran Church with the Rev. Norman W. Lindloff officiating. Burial
was in the Neillsville City Cemetery. Arrangements were made by the
Georgas-Gesche Funeral Home.
Mrs. Blum, daugher of Henry and Mary Freese Roepke, was born July 25, 1894, in
Chicago, Il., and was educated in schools there. Her marriage to Paul G. Blum
took place May 5, 1919, in Chicago. Following their marriage, the couple moved
to Neillsville where Mrs. Blum lived for the remainder of her lifetime. She was
a member of St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church and of its Ladies Aid. Mr.
Blum preceded her in death in 1956.
A daughter, Mrs. Karl (Louise) Hoebling of Chicago, survives.
