Serocki, Linda (5 March 1977)

St. Hedwig’s chapel, Thorp, was the setting for the March 5, exchange of marriage vows between Miss Linda Serocki, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Serocki, Rt. 3 Greenwood and Duane Briski, son of (The writer did not state the groom’s parents). The Rev. John Puerner officiated at the 1:30 p.m. ceremony, which was followed by a reception at the Thorp Legion Hall.

Presented in marriage by her father, the bride appeared in a square-neckline, traditional white gown of polyester crepe in A-line styling. Pearls and wide lace trimmed her medium-length train and veil. She carried a bouquet of yellow sweetheart roses with white spider mums.

Double- caped, U-neckline gowns of poppy-colored polyester knit were worn by the honor attendant, Mona Serocki of Thorp, and the bridesmaid, Mrs. Vickie Brunner of Eau Claire. Their wrist corsages of yellow baby carnations with baby’s breath and stephanotis were complimented by hairpieces of baby’s breath and stephanotis.

Attending the groom were Jerome Briski as bestman and Randy Hendrickson as groomsman. Both are of Greenwood. Serving as ushers were Ron Serocki, Thorp, and Larry Briski, Eau Claire.

The new Mrs. Briski graduated from Thorp High School and is employed as a clerical receptionist by a Marshfield firm. Her husband, a graduate of Greenwood High School and of the UW-Stevens Point, is employed by the Clark County forestry and parks department. The Briskis are living on Rt. 1 Granton. A wedding trip is planned for a later date.
