Schutz, Army Pvt. Donald J. (Service Notes - 1977)

Army Private Donald J. Schutz, son of Mr. and Mrs. Merwyn G. Schutz, Rt. 1 Granton, recently participated in a 60-man U.S.-Canadian exchange program.

During the month-long arctic survival training and weapons qualification, attended the Canadian forces ski school and made several parachute jumps from various Canadian aircraft.

Upon completion of the program the men were presented Canadian Paratrooper Jump Wings.

Pvt. Schutz is a radio operator in Company B, 1st Battalion, 504th Infantry of the 82nd Airborne Division at Ft. Bragg, N.C.

The private entered the Army in June 1976. He is a 1976 graduate of Marshfield High School.
