Ridpath, Debra Lou (20 April 1977)
Mr. and Mrs. Roger R. Venet, who were married April 20 at the courthouse in
Neillsville, are making their home on Rt. 2 Owen. County Judge Michael W.
Brennan officiated at the 2:30 p.m. ceremony for the former Debra Lou Ridpath,
daugher of Mr. and Mrs. William R. Ridpath of Owen and Roger R. Venet, son of
Ray Venet of Withee and Mrs. Lorraine Venet of rural Withee.
The bride’s ivory floor length gown with sheer lace cape was accented by a
single long-stemmed red rose. Her attendant, Carolyn Johnson wore a green floor
length gown with tie jacket. A corsage of green tipped carnations completed her
ensemble. Bradley Ridpath was the groom’s attendant.
A reception was held at the Curtiss Hall.
The bride was honored at a prenuptial shower given by Mrs. Teresa Rakovec, Mrs.
LaVerna Marcott and Mrs. Dorothy Rohland.
A 1974 graduate of Owen-Withee High School and a 1975 graduate of Mid-State
Technical Institute, Wisconsin Rapids, the new Mrs. Venet is employed by a
manufacturing corporation in Owen, where her husband is also employed. He
attended the same high school and has been in military service.
