Visitations for Daniel David Cwikla, 28, rural Owen, can be made after 3 p.m.
today, Wednesday, April 14, 1976, at the Kraut-Maurina Funeral Home in
Abbotsford.
Funeral services for the deceased, who lost his life in a head on car and truck
crash early Sunday night in Taylor County, will be held at 10 a.m., Thursday,
April 15, 1976 at the Kraut-Maurina Funeral Home in Abbotsford. Fr. Casimier
Paul of St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, Lublin, will officiate and burial will
follow in the parish cemetery in Lublin.
Daniel David Cwikla was born January 21, 1948 in Marshfield. He attended the
Owen-Withee school system, graduating with the Class of 1967. He then served in
the U.S. Army, seeing active duty in Vietnam. Upon his discharge he returned to
this community, and on June 11, 1971 was united in marriage to the former Julene
Radlinger in Dorchester. He has been employed as a construction worker with
Michels Construction Co., Weinberger Construction Co., Owen, and Foremost Foods,
Owen. The past three years he has been farming on route 1, Owen.
Mourning his tragic death are his wife, and son, Kirk Daniel, Owen; his parents,
Mr. and Mrs. Chester Cwikla, route 2, Withee; three brothers, Donald, a twin,
Withee, Paul, Owen, and Richard, Cicero, Ill., and three sisters, Mrs. Charles
(Marjorie) Haynes, Chicago, Ill., Mrs. Michael (Judith) Kawa, Rantoul, Ill., and
Miss Shirley Cwikla, Eau Claire.
