Miss Harriet Martinec, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Martinec of Milwaukee
became the bride of Mr. Steven Jovanovich, son of Mr. and Mrs. Kosta Jovanovich,
also of Milwaukee in a ceremony performed by Judge Lawrence C. Gram Jr. at
Milwaukee County Courthouse on Saturday, April 3rd, 1976.
The bride chose for her wedding a light pink floor length A-line styled gown of
polyester, fashioned with a V-neckline and angle sleeves. She carried a corsage
of light pink carnations with red roses.
Mary (Markowski) Cardinal, friend of the bride, was maid of honor, wearing
alight turquoise full length A-line gown of polyester material, fashioned with a
scoop neckline and angle sleeves. Her corsage was of turquoise carnations with
pink roses.
Serving as best man was Robert Northouse of Milwaukee. Both the groom and best
man wore medium brown tuxedoes
.
A dinner and reception were held following the ceremony at Crystal Palace in
Milwaukee, with a dance and music by Barbara Flanum.
Attending the wedding were Mr. and Mrs. Harry Mahnke, Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Reshel
of Pittsville, Miss Bonnie Reshel of Sussex, Wisconsin, Mr. and Mrs. Gary Meyer,
Waukesha, and many friends and relatives from Milwaukee, Menomonee Falls, and
Green field.
The bride graduated from the Pittsville High School and the Milwaukee Area
technical College, and is employed as bookkeeper at Barry Transfer and Storage
Company, Inc. The groom graduated from West Division High School, Milwaukee, and
Cudahy Vocational and Technical Institute, and is employed as machine operator
at Milwaukee Die-casting Company.
The newlyweds are making their home at 819 South 20th Street, Milwaukee.
