Wagner, Victor (Promotion - 1977)
Victor Wagner, UW-Extension farm management agent in Clark County, has been
promoted by the UW System Board of Regents.
Wagner, who joined UW-Extension in his present post in 1966, has been named
associate professor.
UW-Extension Chancellor Jean C. Evans said in announcing the promotion that it
is a recognition of the outstanding job he has done in making UW system
resources available to Clark County residents.
“It’s the kind of work that makes the Wisconsin idea of taking the university to
the people a living reality,” Evans said.
In his position, Wagner has developed and helped teach a business management
program for Clark County famers and a farm management program for farm women. He
started a dairy cattle management program to increase productivity and
profitability of dairy farms and also participated in the Upper Great Lakes
Dairy Beef Demonstration project.
Before joining Extension, Wagner was a teacher in agriculture at Greenwood High
School. Wagner received his Master of Science degree in dairy science at
UW-Madison.
