McIntire, Christopher John
Christopher John McIntire, son of Mr. and Mrs. John A. McIntire, Route 1, Thorp,
will be ordained to the order of deacon May 14, at SS. Bernard-Hedwig Catholic
Church, Thorp, with the Rev. Msgr. John J. Paul, auxiliary bishop for the La
Crosse Diocese, officiating. The public is invited.
The McIntires came to Wisconsin from Lorain, Ohio, in 1975. The young man
studied a year at Borremeo College, Ohio, following three years at St. Francis
DeSales College, Milwaukee. His first year of theology was spent in Rome; the
last two of theology were at St. Mary's Seminary, Baltimore.
During the summer he worked as chaplain/health officer at camp Tesomas in
Rhinelander and also did parish work at St. Pius X parish in La Crosse and St.
Mary's in Tomah
