Irvine, Quinton (22 November 1911 – 18 June 1977)
Quinton Irvine, 65, Greenwood died at his home Saturday night following a
lingering illness.
Mr. Irvine was born Nov. 22, 1911 in the Town of Bear. He received his education
in Milwaukee and farmed all of his life in the Town of Warner., retiring in
1974. He was married to the former Dorothy Vollrath on March 26, 1932 at
Greenwood. He was a member of a conservation club.
Surviving him are his wife, a son, Victor of Milwaukee; three daughters, Mrs.
Timothy (Joan) Gruber of Milwaukee; and Mrs. Robert (Jacky) Rogstad and Mrs.
Gerald (Dorene) Wetzel, both of Greenwood; a sister, Mrs. Bernice Bartz of
Manitowish Waters; a brother, Walter Irvine of Minneapolis, Mn., and 11
grandchildren.
A granddaughter preceded him in death.
Funeral services were held Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. at the Zion United Church of
Christ. The Rev. David Logue, pastor officiated. Burial was made in the Westside
Cemetery. Pallbearers were Elmer Learman, Alfred Zillmer, Lloyd Longridge,
Herman Metzke, Michael Podobnik and Walter Hribar.
Mrs. Duane Olson sang “Amazing Grace,” and “In The Garden” accompanied on the
organ by Mrs. Gary Schultz.
