Nomady, Katherine Miriam (18 June 1977)
Katherine Miriam Nomady and Anthony Del Fatti were married Saturday, June 18, in
a 1:30 p.m. ceremony performed at the Colby United Methodist Church by the Rev.
Keith Schroerlucke.
A reception and dinner at the Cedar House in Abbotsford preceded a garden party
at the home of the bride’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Nomady, at 202 W. North
St. in Colby. The groom is he son of Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Del Fatti, Corpus
Christi, Tx. The Del Fatties hosted a rehearsal dinner Friday evening at Casa
Loma Supper Club in Marshfield.
The bride chose for her wedding day a chapel length gown of silk organza
featuring a scoop neckline accented with Venise lace flowers and seed pearls.
The bodice and skirt were also trimmed with Venise lace appliques. Her waltz
length veil of sheer illusion was attached to a Camelot headpiece and trimmed
with matching Venise lace flowers and seed pearls. She held a bouquet of tiny
ball mums, stephanotis, baby’s breath and trailing ivy as she was presented in
marriage by her father.
Mrs. Matthew Del Fatti, Neillsville, was the matron of honor. Bridesmaids were
Mrs. Gerald Mattice and Miss Jane Stoops, both of Stevens Point. Their full,
ruffle-skirt Nile green chiffon gowns featured ruffled, back bustle detailing.
They carried arrangements of pink ball mums, miniature white carnations, pink
sweetheart roses and baby’s breath with white streamers, and wore crowns of pink
ball mums, baby’s breath and ivy in their hair.
The groom was attended by Mathew Del Fatti, Neillsville, as bestman and by
Robert Diedrich, Colby, and Gregory Del Fatti, Claremore, Ok., as groomsmen.
Guests were seated by Tom Nomady, Colby, and Mark Nomady, Moline, Il.
Mrs. Sharon Gosse was the organist, and Mrs. Faith Caskey, the soloist.
The new Mrs. Del Fatti graduated from Colby High School in 1971 and from the
UW-Stevens Point in 1976 with a bachelor of science degree and majors in French
and English. She teaches secondary French and English at Edgar High School. The
groom graduated from the same high school in 1972 and is attending the
UW-Stevens Point, majoring in Phy ed and coaching.
Following a wedding trip to Northern Wisconsin, they will make their home in
Edgar.
