On Mother’s Day evening at 8:00 p.m., May Crowning was held at Holy Rosary
Catholic Church. The ceremony began with the procession into church, consisting
of the boys and girls from Holy Rosary Catholic School, the First Communicants
in their First Communion attire, and the Court of Junior and Senior High School
girls. In the court of Honor were: Peggy Alberts, Michelle Briski, Jeanine
Devine, Jane Devine, Denise Klapatauskas, Ramona Koplitz, Mary Kaye Laube, Sue
Mauel, Suzann Mills, Jane Oehler, Jill Oehler, Katie Pauly, Liz Pauly, Jean
Paulukiewicz (the crowner), Carol Zaborowski, and Kathy Zukowski. Renee Cook,
First Communicant, carried the crown which Jean Paulukiewicz place on the head
of the statue of the Blessed Mother. After this ceremony, there was the Living
Rosary, each child saying one half of the Hail Mary, followed by the Benediction
of the Blessed Sacrament. A beautiful ceremony held fittingly on Mother’s Day.
