Dealer in Fancy and Staple Groceries, China, and Glassware and farm

Has one of the largest groceries in Neillsville, located in the Dangers block,
corner of Seventh and Hewett Streets, which extends 75 feet in depth, with
basement under floor, the salesroom being heated by hot air furnace in basement:
also lighted by gasoline and electric lights.
The stock of staple and fancy groceries is one of the largest in the city,
comprising the best grades of table delicacies obtained from large houses in
Chicago and Milwaukee, and Mr. Brameld has the exclusive sale of Reid, Murdock,
and Co.’s canned goods and Heinz’s pickles, catsups, sauces, etc. Fresh fruits
in all varieties are handled in season and green vegetables the year round,
having a large trade in that line. Flour is handled in half a dozen of the
leading brands, including the Gold Medal and others obtained from the local
mills and wholesale houses in the city, while provisions are handles in staple
lines. Butter and eggs especially, are purchased from farmers for cash or in
exchange, and shipments of eggs are made to the Chicago markets.
His stock of fine china and glassware is the largest in the city, comprising
both domestic and imported goods, the latter being imported from England,
France, Austria, and Germany, especially fancy wares with a full line of
staples, crockery, stoneware, earthenware, etc., in connection. His trade in all
lines extends throughout the city and surrounding countryside to a distance of
fifteen miles, especially north and west.
The above business was established twelve years ago by Dangers & Co., and three
years ago Mr. T. E. Brameld purchased the stock and business, previous to which
he was connected with this house for eight years, having had long experience,
and has been a resident of Neillsville for fourteen years, have been well
acquainted with the trade throughout the district.
In connection with the above business, Mr. Brameld is one of the firm of Dangers
and Brameld in adjourning store, both being connected by archway, where they
carry a complete line of dry goods, millinery, notions, clothing, furnishings,
shoes, etc., having a good local trade in city and country.
