Mrs. Josephine Ryona retired from teaching after spending forty years in that
profession.
Her fist teaching assignment was at the west Eaton School west of Greenwood,
where she taught all eight grades with a total of forty-two students.
Mrs. Ryona taught in the Rural and State Graded Schools of Clark County before
coming to Loyal. Mrs. Ryona taught a self-contained 5h grade class, but for the
last two years she taught 5th and 6th grade reading.
Mrs. Ryona first attended the UW-Stevens Point for one years, and later
completed her education, receiving her B. S. degree from the UW-Eau Claire.
